Lunia Tech Engineering Co. Ltd

Structural engineering, from model to drawings.

Lunia is structural analysis, design and detailing software built around one model.

Model your building in three dimensions, analyse the structure, design the concrete and steel, and produce reinforcement drawings and calculation sheets — without rebuilding the model between programs.

One model. One workflow. From the first grid line to the drawings issued.

What it does

Everything your structural workflow needs

Model · Analyse · Design · Detail · Document — across concrete, steel and foundations, without the model being rebuilt at a boundary between tools.

Modelling

Orthogonal, radial and skewed grids with storey levels that carry through to every drawing. Beams, columns, slabs, walls, staircases and foundations — placed on the grid or traced over the architect's DXF.

Learn more

Analysis

Three-dimensional finite element. Shell and frame elements in one model, rigid floor diaphragms, notional forces and storey drift.

Learn more

Concrete design

Beams, columns, slabs, walls and staircases, with pad, strip, combined and raft foundations and pile caps.

Learn more

Steel design

Members, base plates, portal frames and connections, checked against a full library of rolled sections.

Learn more

Foundations

Pad, strip and combined footings, rafts on an elastic medium and pile caps — created from the columns already in the model.

Learn more

Detailing & documentation

Reinforcement arranged, laps positioned and bars scheduled, then drawn and written out as DXF with the calculation sheets.

Where the hours actually go

The analysis is the easy part

An engineer does not lose a week to the analysis. The week goes between“the model solves” and “the drawings are on the contractor's desk” — arranging bars that fit the web, deciding where a lap is allowed to sit, splitting links at a crank, and typing the calculation up afterwards.

Lunia treats that as the product. Every decision the detailer makes is made against a clause, and the clause is printed beside the number on the sheet — so the person checking your drawing can follow it without asking you what the software did.

That is the difference between a result and a submission. It is also why the sheets go out as they are, rather than being retyped into a document the night before the deadline.

Who it is for

Designed for engineers who need to finish the job

Whether you are designing a building, checking a structure or preparing reinforcement drawings, Lunia brings the workflow together in one application.

Structural consultants

Design and document a project without rebuilding the model across several programs.

Detailers

Move from designed member to issued reinforcement drawing without redrawing it by hand.

Engineering practices

One workflow across the team, so drawings and calculations leave the office in a consistent form.

Students & academics

See a whole structural workflow end to end, not one isolated step of it. Academic licensing available.

The workflow

Built for the whole workflow

Model → Analyse → Design → Detail → Document. No repeated modelling, no unnecessary data transfer, and no rebuilding the structure just to finish the drawings.

  1. 01

    Model

Grids, frames, slabs, walls and foundations — or the architect's DXF, imported as drawn.

  2. 02

    Analyse

Shells and frames solved together, with diaphragms, notional forces and drift.

  3. 03

    Design

Concrete, steel and timber members against the code you actually work to.

  4. 04

    Detail

Reinforcement arranged, laps positioned, links zoned and bars scheduled.

  5. 05

    Document

Drawings out to DXF, and calculation sheets with the clause beside every number.

Why Lunia

What makes it different

It finishes the job

Analysis is one step of several. Lunia carries on through design and detailing to the drawings that go out to the contractor.

Built to be checked

Every value on a calculation sheet carries the clause it came from, so a reviewer can follow the work without asking you what the software did.

One model, no re-entry

The structure is never rebuilt at a boundary between programs, because there is no boundary to cross. Nothing is typed in twice, so nothing can disagree.

Written for practice

Perpetual, subscription, floating and academic licensing, and design to the codes engineers actually build to — wherever they practise.

At a glance

The essentials

Platform
Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. A desktop application — your models stay on your machine.
Design codes
Eurocode and British Standards for concrete and steel, with load combinations built from your own code's table and partial factors.
Exchange
IFC in and out, a Revit link, DXF import and export, and an ETABS exporter.
Licensing
Perpetual, subscription, floating and academic. Every licence carries the whole program.
